Peach Blossoms & Princesses – Favorites from the afternoon!

A little princess, a tea party, and an orchard…what could be cuter?

My thoughts exactly!

Here are some of my favorites from the Peach Blossoms & Princesses styled mini sessions from earlier this month at Tracey’s Orchard.

Miss Maya was so sweet! She used the hat box like a little table for her tea party.

I had so much fun styling this shoot (one word…Pinterest. Enough said.)

The hat box was ‘borrowed’ from my daughter’s bedroom, and I found the teapot at a local antique shop.

Of course I had to include my two princesses in this shoot!

This is Elliana, my almost 4-year-old.

And here is Eliza, my baby girl who just turned 1!

Isn’t little Miss Aubrey so precious, sharing tea with Elmo?

I absolutely love ‘everyday’ images of my girls, but I also loved doing this intentional portrait session with them. Elliana is at an age where she loves to feel like a princess, so she was more than happy to wear the ‘crown’ and her ruffle dress. There is something about this image though that makes it imperfectly perfect. If you look closely, you can see her Dora bandaids. I didn’t notice them until after we finished. As a photographer mom, I was so upset that I missed that detail and didn’t have her take them off.  Then I realized that those bandaids help tell the story of who she is right now. She’s an adventurer, an explorer, a risk taker. She has more scraps and bruises than any other little girl I know. She loves to catch bugs and dig in the dirt, and then comes inside, washes up, and puts on her dress, lip gloss and sparkly shoes.

My little princess and her Dora bandaids… imperfectly perfect.

Seniorologie Cali Tour

Traveling…it’s one of my favorite things. I love to visit and explore new places! My most recent trip was to the West Coast, in the gorgeous coastal city of  La Jolla, California! I had the opportunity to attend the Seniorologie Workshop and learn from some of the most amazing women, including Meg Borders, Michelle Moore, Sarah Lane, Leslie Kerrigan, and Courtney DeLaura, who is now the Creative Director at Altar’d State , who did the awesome styling of all the models. {Yep, I love my job:) }

The workshop was at the La Valencia hotel. This is the view from my room, where I had to stay for 2-1/2 days.

Not bad, eh?! Let me just tell you, my original room had a patio view, but because they were remodeling the patio area, I was upgraded to a suite with this ocean view. It was so incredible. {Thanks God for the favor}!

The location was beautiful {obviously}, and so were the amazing models we had for two whole afternoons…inspiration overload!

I loved the experience. I loved learning and meeting new people. I loved thinking outside the box and dreaming of new possibilities.

McCauley Family

Never a dull moment with this beautiful family!

We met up on a gorgeous fall day {oh how I miss the warm sun and the green grass! Come on spring!} and had a fun afternoon making some memories.

Such cuties!

And our afternoon wasn’t complete until their newest addition joined the fun!
